Murals Activate & Appreciate

2015-11-17 18.05.35-1Mural at Lincoln’s Renaissance:
(a work in progress)

Greetings! I warmly invite you to view the “Murals” page with pictures from this and another Tampa mural as well as those I completed in Los Angeles, CA.
One of Gratitude Tree Network’s prime objectives is to honor the ancestors, and activate appreciation for the land and it’s trees, rocks, animals and of course the people wherever we happen to be planted in any given moment!
I’ve been given complete artistic freedom on this special wall  (formerly Lincoln’s Grocery in East Tampa – aka Boyle Heights).
Hidden imagery is everywhere.  Please share what you see! Thank you for stopping by and have a most GRATEFUL DAY!
Peace and Thanks,
Nicki La Rosa, Founder

Happy Art on display at Creative Soul Studio

Happy Art in St. Pete ~

I’m very happy to announce that from November 13 through January 1, 2016 several paintings, photos and other goodies are on display at Creative Soul Studio Cafe.

I don’t think I’ve been so ever giddy over an exhibition, but this is the first time my work has ever been exhibited in the city where I was born!
I’m stoked to be part of a group show with such talented local artists.  The studio manager Meg Boone has been awesome to work with! An artist herself, she kindly invited me to do some live painting on site.  It was such a blast, I’m going back today (12/1) for another session.
Coffee, canvas, bright paints, and a big ol’ window to gaze out in between brush strokes – tis’ Piscean day-dreamer’s paradise! 😉
Meg also encouraged me to add my handpainted jars into the exhibit. This is their annual holiday show and all pieces (they have fine art, jewelry, and handbags too) are priced under $150.00.
St. Petersburg is the city in which I was born, and it holds profoundly more meaning for me than even exhibiting even in Los Angeles.  Please don’t get me wrong, I’m honored hat my work is shown anywhere. But there’s no place like home.
I hope to see you soon!
Gratefully yours,
Nicki

This is the debut of my “Jars of Life” series. They are practical  yet funky ‘hide-away’ jars for all occasions! (great gifts)!
